Italy moved to the Rotax 122 in 1995. A UK or European bike can still be a Rotax 123. To verify on the casting.

Where the numbers are

A GS number is stamped. An MP number, if this bike has already changed, is a plate to the right of the headstock and starts ZD4. To verify which plate you have. The casting locations are on Identify.

Body

The Extrema / GS years on this site run through 1995. The round-light years start at 1995/96. Treat 1995 as the overlap, not as one body.

Colours and replicas

• Reggiani decal set, recorded as 1995.
• Max Biaggi Chesterfield starts in the 1995–1996 span.

A replica is a decal scheme. It is not a different engine.

Known weak points

• 123 parts if the casting says 123.
• Do not order 122 parts from the registration year.
